Cooking time: 30 mins
Ingredients needed to make Arby’s Curly Fries:
- 4 russet potatoes, peeled
- 1 ½ tbsp all purpose flour
- 2 ½ tbsp egg substitute
- 1/8 tsp onion powder
- 1/8 tsp garlic powder
- ¼ tsp cayenne pepper
- 2 tsp paprika
- 1 ¾ cup salt, divided
- Olive oil spray
Cooking instructions for Arby’s Curly Fries:
- Add a tsp of salt into a pot of water and bring it to a boil over high heat.
- Peel 7 oz of curls out of the potatoes, using a twin curl cutter, and drop them into the boiling water.
- Cook the potato curls for just 3 minutes and not longer to prevent them from crumbling.
- Pass them through a colander to drain off and set aside for about 5-10 minutes to cool.
- Meanwhile, warm up your oven to 450 degrees F and lightly oil a baking sheet with olive oil spray; set aside until necessary.
- Pour the egg substitute in a large bowl and sprinkle rest of the salt, along with onion and garlic powder, cayenne as well as paprika and beat them together rigorously until well combined.
- Dust the flour on it and continue to beat with a hand whisk until they blend into a smooth mixture and dip in the potato curls.
- Toss the curls well until they are evenly coated with the batter and transfer them to the prepared baking sheet after letting any excess batter drip off.
- Spread the curls in a single layer and spray a lashing of olive oil over them.
- Bake the curls in the oven for about 20-25 minutes, flipping them during midway of the cooking period and bake until they are completely cooked and turn crispy golden brown.
- Tuck in, munch and enjoy!
