How to Make Yogurt Mousse with Strawberry Sauce

Ingredients needed to make Yogurt Mousse with Strawberry Sauce:
For the mousse:
- 1 ½ cup low-fat yogurt
- 2 ½ tsp gelatin
- ¾ cup whipping cream
- 1 tbsp lime juice
- 3 tbsp water
- 3 ½ tbsp granulated sugar
For the sauce:
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- 3 tsp sugar
- 1 pint fresh strawberries
Cooking instructions for Yogurt Mousse with Strawberry Sauce:
- Whisk the gelatin into water until well combined and set it rest for a while.
- Meanwhile, place the yogurt in a bowl and add a splash of lemon juice into it.
- Spoon in 2 ½ tbsp sugar and whisk them together until they blend properly.
- Pour the gelatin mixture into a saucepan and heat it over low heat until the gelatin dissolves.
- Turn off of the heat and beat in ¼ cup of the whisked yogurt to mix well.
- Pour in rest of the yogurt mixture gradually while beating it into the mixture until they blend together to form a smooth mixture.
- Adjust the sweetness and leave it in the refrigerator for half an hour or until it is partially set.
- Take it out of the refrigerator and whisk to smooth it out further.
- Place the cream in a separate bowl, along with 1 tbsp sugar and whip the mixture thoroughly until it forms stiff yet moist peaks.
- Fold it into the yogurt mixture gently until well combined and scoop it out into serving bowls.
- Cover each bowl with a cling film and refrigerate overnight to set.
- For serving, toss sauce ingredients into a blender and pulse them into a smooth puree.
- Pass it through a fine mesh sieve to get rid of the seeds and drizzle it over the mousse.
- Serve chilled.
