How to Make Peanut Butter Fudge
Yields: 30 blocks of fudge
Ingredients needed to make peanut butter fudge:
- 2 cups peanut butter, choose between smooth or chunky according to your preference
- 2 tbsp vanilla extract
- 2 lb confectioners’ sugar
- 1 lb salted butter
Cooking instructions for peanut butter fudge:
- Rub some softened butter on the bottom and along the inner sides of a large pyrex dish and line its base with a wax paper
- Place the peanut butter in a large microwave-proof bowl and add large dollops of butter to it.
- Set the oven to high and microwave them for a couple of minutes.
- Take the bowl out of the oven and whisk well to mix.
- Place it back into the oven and microwave it again on high for another couple of minutes
- Stir in the confectioners’ sugar until it dissolves, followed by the vanilla extract.
- Whisk the mixture thoroughly until it is uniformly blended and pour it into the lined pyrex dish.
- Level the surface of the fudge mixture with a wooden spatula and cover it with another sheet of wax paper.
- Leave it in the refrigerator until it sets.
- Throw the 2nd wax paper away and run a sharp knife along the edges to free them from the bowl.
- Invert the dish onto a flat plate and demold the fudge.
- Slice the fudge into medium-sized squares and serve chilled.
