How to Make Marbled Orange Fudge

Ingredients needed to make Marbled Orange Fudge:

  • ¾ cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1 jar (7 oz) marshmallow crème
  • 3 cups granulated sugar
  • ¾ cup unsalted butter
  • 1 package (12 oz) vanilla chips
  • 3 tsp orange extract
  • 5 drops red food colouring
  • 12 drops yellow food colouring

Cooking instructions for Marbled Orange Fudge:

  • Grease the sides and base of a 13’’x9’’ baking dish with a small knob of butter and set aside.
  • Empty the cups of sugar into a heavy-based saucepan and stir in rest of the butter as well as cream until well combined.
  • Heat the mixture over low flame, while stirring continuously until the sugar dissolves completely.
  • Increase the heat to high and bring it to a boil.
  • Reduce it to a simmer and continue to do so for about 4 minutes, while stirring it all the time.
  • Turn off the heat and whisk in the marshmallow crème until well combined into a smooth mixture.
  • Fold in the vanilla chips until they are distributed evenly throughout the mixture and set a cup of its aside.
  • Stir in a splash of orange extract and food colourings to rest of the mixture in the pan until they blend thoroughly.
  • Tip it into the buttered dish and spread it evenly across the dish with a spatula.
  • Add small dollops of the reserved cream mixture onto it and swirl it around the coloured mixture with the help of a knife.
  • Place a lid on top and leave in the fridge until it turns firm.
  • Invert it onto a chopping board and chop it into small squares.
  • Serve and have fun!
