- 1 cup Almond milk
- ¼ tsp ground cinnamon
- Pinch of ground clove
- Large pinch of ground ginger
For the caramel sauce:
- ¾ cup brown sugar
- ¾ cup white sugar
- 60 gm unsalted butter
- ¼ cup boiling water
- 2 tsp vanilla essence
- ½ cup cream
Cooking instructions for Banana Caramel Smoothie:
- Stir in the vanilla extract into the cream and set aside until required.
- Empty the cup of white sugar into a medium pot and heat it over slow flame until it melts to form a deep golden caramel; don’t stir to avoid any sugar crystals in it.
- Empty the cup of boiling water in it and continue to cook, while stirring regularly, until it forms a smooth blend.
- Whisk in the brown sugar as well as butter and cook until the sugar dissolves and the caramel becomes smoother.
- Pour in the vanilla-flavoured cream into the caramel and stir them well together to mix thoroughly.
- Turn off the heat and set aside until it cools down to form a thick sauce.
- Store it in an airtight container in the fridge until required.
- To make the smoothie, put the banana into a food processor, along with rest of the ingredients.
- Pulse them several times until they blend together to form a smooth mixture.
- Pour it into two 12 oz glasses and serve chilled.
