How to Make Starbucks Gingerbread Latte

Ingredients needed to make Starbucks Gingerbread Latte:
- Freshly brewed Espresso
- 2 cups water
- Milk, as required
- 1 ¼ tbsp ground cinnamon
- 2 tbsp ground ginger
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 ½ cups granulated sugar
- Ice cubes, as required
- Whipped cream, for serving
- Grated nutmeg, for serving
Cooking instructions for Starbucks Gingerbread Latte:
- Empty the cups of sugar into a saucepan of water and heat it over moderate flame.
- Sprinkle the cinnamon as well as ginger to it, along with a splash of vanilla and continue to heat over moderately slow flame until it starts boiling.
- Reduce to a simmer and continue to cook for about 20 minutes or until the spices infuse their flavours into the syrup.
- Remove the spiced up syrup from heat and set aside to cool to room temperature.
- Pour it into an airtight container and store it for as long as 10 days.
- Pour a couple of tbsp. of the prepared syrup into a clean cup and pour in the freshly brewed espresso in a steady stream while stirring them well together until the syrup dissolves.
- Pour in the milk and continue to stir until well combined.
- Drop several ice cubes into the latte and top it up with whipped cream.
- Sprinkle a dash of grated nutmeg and serve right away.
