How to Make Bacon-Wrapped Shrimps
Yields: 35-40 wrapped shrimps
Preparation time: 20 mins + 30 mins (inactive)
Cooking time: 3-4 minutes
Ingredients needed to make Bacon-Wrapped Shrimps:
- 6 oz thin bacon slices
- 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 ½ tsp freshly ground black pepper
- 35-40 wooden skewers
Cooking instructions for Bacon-Wrapped Shrimps:
- Dip the skewers in water and set aside for half an hour to soak.
- Position a rack at the upper part within your broiler and warm it up to high.
- Spoon the oil into a bowl and whisk in a dash of pepper and paprika until well combined.
- Throw in the shrimps and toss them together to coat well with the spiced up olive oil.
- Insert a skewer through the thicker, anterior portion of one shrimp, so that it pass along its middle and comes out at the posterior or tail end.
- Wrap each bacon slice around the skewered shrimp until most of it is enveloped and transfer it onto a baking sheet.
- Prepare rest of shrimps in a similar fashion and arrange them on the baking sheets, spaced apart.
- Place it in the hot broiler and broil for about 3-4 minutes or until the flesh of the shrimp turns opaque, indicating that it is cooked through and the bacon turns crispy.
- Serve it alongside your favourite dip or with a slightly sweet cocktail.
