Cooking instructions for Pizza Margherita:
- Warm up your oven to 350 degrees F.
- Add a large dollop of butter to the flour and process them in a food processor until the mixture attains a crumble like texture.
- Crack the egg into it, along with a dash of salt and mix them further until properly blended.
- Continue to blend the mixture with the food processor, set at low speed and pour in water in a thin yet steady stream until all of it is incorporated into the mixture, which in turn forms a dough.
- Dust your working surface lightly with flour and place the dough on it.
- Knead it gently with your hands, for a couple of minutes or so and set aside.
- Dust some more flour on a baking tray and transfer the dough into it.
- Press it against the bottom of the tray to form a round pizza base with an even surface.
- To make the topping, arrange a layer of plum tomatoes on top of the pizza base, followed by another layer of mozzarella slices.
- Add a lashing of oil over the topping and sprinkle a dash of salt and black pepper to season.
- Place the pizza into the oven and bake at the preheated temperature for about 10-12 minutes, or until the base turns crispy golden brown while the cheese melts and becomes bubbly.
- Meanwhile, to make the dressing, add all its ingredients into the food processor and pulse them into a smooth paste.
- Take the pizza out of the oven and place it on a serving plate.
