How to Cook Prosciutto-Wrapped Figs

Ingredients needed to make Prosciutto-Wrapped Figs:
- 12 fresh black Mission figs, stem chopped off
- 6 thin prosciutto slices, sliced longitudinally
- 6 pecan halves, halved longitudinally
- 2 oz blue cheese, chopped into 12 pieces
- Honey, to serve
- Olive oil, as required
Cooking instructions for Prosciutto-Wrapped Figs:
- Dip 12 wooden skewers in a shallow bowl of water for about 15 minutes and warm up your grill over moderately high heat at the same time.
- Partially slice each fig through the middle and open it up carefully.
- Insert a pecan halve within it, followed by a cheese chunk and wrap a prosciutto slice around it horizontally.
- Insert a skewer through it to secure the prosciutto slice and grease it with a generous lashing of olive oil.
- Place it on the hot grill rack and make rest of the wrapped figs in a similar fashion.
- Grill the figs for a couple of minutes or until grill marks are imprinted on them.
- Flip them over and grill the other side in the same manner.
- Once properly grilled, arrange them on a large serving plate and smother them with a generous splash of honey.
- Set aside to cool slightly and serve warm.
