Here are the four OFFICIAL Chicken McNugget Shapes
We previously (comically) alluded to “9 individua McDonald’s Chicken McNugget shapes”, referring indirectly to McDonald’s conspicuous standardization of their Chicken McNuggets. Nobody eating more than 6 at a time can miss the similarities in the chicken “shapes” they’re shovelling down. And to be honest, we thought that 9 was probably about right.
Well, it turns out it’s only four. Only four different shapes. Don’t know about you, but I feel a little cheated by this.
The four Chicken McNugget shape names are:
- Boot
- Ball
- Bow-Tie / Bone
- Bell
The Bow-tie and Bone names are different dependent on country. For the US, it’s Bone (seemingly they don’t care), whereas in Canada, it’s the rather more friendly sounding Bow-Tie.
Frankly, none of this has endeared me to McNuggets, though it’s not likely to stop me eating them either. If you want my advice, take the plunge and try some out with our own McNugget Recipe.
