About the McDonald’s Big Xtra

The rivalry between Mc’Donald’s and Burger King was heated and McDonald’s answer to the BK Whooper was the  Big Xtra. Burger King also came out with the Big King to compete with McDonald’s the Big Mac.

The Big Xtra included lettuce, tomato, onions, cheese and a spiced up patty that was 20% larger.  It eventually gave way to the Quarter Pounder which  cut the lettuce and tomato.

The McDonald’s Big Xtra was rather popular back in the day and here is even a Change.org petition to bring it back!
