How to Bake Goats’ Cheese Salad

Ingredients needed to make Goats’ Cheese Salad:

  • Four 1 ½’’ thick goats’ cheese slices, with rind
  • 2 oz watercress
  • 4 fresh thyme sprigs
  • 1 pear, quartered, cored and thinly sliced
  • 3 ½ o red and green grapes, seedless
  • Freshly squeezed out juice of ½ lemon
  • 4 tbsp wild honey
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper

Cooking instructions for Goats’ Cheese Salad:

  • Warm up your grill to 400 degrees F.
  • Place the leafy green in a bowl and throw in the pear slices.
  • Toss them together until well combined and add a splash of fresh lemon juice into it.
  • Drizzle a lashing of olive oil and sprinkle a dash of salt and ground black pepper generously over them.
  • Toss them further to coat well with the dressing and set aside.
  • Line a baking sheet with a sheet of parchment paper and arrange the goats’ cheese into it, spaced an inch apart.
  • Bake the cheese in the hot oven for about 4 minutes or until they are heated through; set aside.
  • Warm up your grill to high.
  • Place both the red and green grapes into a small pan and drizzle the honey over them.
  • Place a lid on top and bring the mixture to a boil.
  • Turn off the heat right away and set aside.
  • Place the hot goats’ cheese into the hot grill and cook for a couple of minutes or until their surface browns.
  • Split the watercress-pear salad along four serving plates and scatter the honey-infused grapes around the salad.
  • Place the goats’ cheese onto each serving and sprinkle the thyme sprigs over them.
  • Serve right away.
