Chocolate Chip and Walnut Cookies
Nothing beats a hot, milky drink and a cookie and these chocolate chip and walnut cookies certainly hit the mark. They are super easy to make and are perfect for on the go snacking.
Chocolate Chip and Walnut Cookies
Home-made chocolate chip and walnut cookies.
Ingredients
- 8 oz unsalted butter
- 8 oz caster sugar
- 4 oz soft brown sugar
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 eggs
- 11 oz plain flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 15 oz dark chocolate chips
- 10 oz walnuts, chopped
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 320F/160C/gas 3.
- Cream the butter, caster sugar, brown sugar and vanilla extract together.
- Slowly add the eggs until the mix is fluffy.
- In a separate bowl, sieve the flour, salt and baking powder together and then gently fold into the creamed butter
- Finally, add the chocolate chips and walnut pieces and use your hands to bind the whole mix together.
- Rest the mix for 1 hour in the refrigerator and then roll evenly into 15 small balls. Place on a baking tray, leaving 2 inches between each cookie.
- Bake for 12 - 15 minutes.
